About Me
Cinematographer. Filmmaker. Storyteller.
Ferdinand Orlain is an emerging visual storyteller. When he was young, Ferdinand considered himself a simple kid from Scarborough who made videos and explored all kinds of media with his friends. From practice to passion, this allowed him to find his purpose and graduate from Centennial College's Film/Broadcasting program, where he would start to make his passion a full-time career.
In April 2020, what was supposed to be an in-person event, allowed Ferdinand to adapt and earn himself two awards for his college’s first online show due to COVID-19. Ferdinand has also worked on music and dance videos from artists like SRE, Salem Dance Co., and other group projects. Following in June of 2021, he was eligible to earn a mentorship opportunity with a company called “Scarborough Made,” where he created a video and had a selected photo put on an installation in Toronto.
Ferdinand continues to explore his work, defy the odds and push himself to show the world what he sees through his lens- and camera.
